I can’t even begin to touch on the impact Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had on the country and the world with his message.
“I have a dream” is a phrase so powerful that some people can’t even utter it without getting goosebumps. Dig into that. What is your dream? If you could live your best life, what would that look like for you? What would you need to change to get closer to that dream being a reality?
3 Tips for using Dr. King's motivation and momentum to making lasting change:
-> Volunteer for an organization you believe in. If you want help finding the best fit for you check out volunteermatch.org
-> Write a Letter to your local Senators (Find them HERE) or Representative (Find their contact info HERE)
-> Pay for the coffee of the person behind you in the drive thru OR let someone go ahead of you in line at the grocery store/target/insert your favorite place with lines here!
I’d love to hear if you have a different favorite MLK quote or if you take steps to write to your Congressperson! If you would like me to shout out your favorite non-profit or organization on the next episode of Chaos Queens, let me know about it! Who are they and why are they so amazing? Make sure you include any links so others can find them also!
